He intensely closed his eyes, hoping to remember her voice.

Suddenly, he heard the soft tune arising… Yes! that was his mother’s voice singing, from some deep and faraway place, a beautiful lullaby. It was there, within his dreams. His mom sang it to him every night from the distance, before going to bed.

A burst of joy seized his little heart.

- I remember… yes, I do remember her. – He whispered, embracing sweet memories of love. He then knew that, despite everything his playmates used to tell him, his mother loved him too.

This small tale, based on one of the most fascinating books from the old testament, the first book of Samuel, is meant for children, teenagers, and adults. The author lets her imagination fly for a moment, to explore in that “chosen by God” little boy’s mind, trying to envision, through his eyes, the world as he had to undergo. Exploring his innocent thoughts, as well as his feelings, as for any little boy in his place, only in another time.
